Our first six weeks period is coming to an end at White Oak I.S.D. We are moving along very quickly, therefore; we want to make sure that parents are as informed as possible. We feel that you are a vital team member in the education of your child. Grade level “Parent Orientation” meetings are scheduled as follows:
Kindergarten – Thursday, Sept. 23 (5:30-6:30)
First Grade – Tuesday, Sept. 28 (5:00-6:00)
Second Grade – Monday, Sept. 27 (5:30-6:30)
Please join us to meet teachers, hear routines and expectations, and ask questions! All meetings will be held in the elementary cafeteria.
Mrs. Koonce, Thank you for organizing and putting forth the extra effort on Parent Orientation. I really appreciated the time each teacher spent providing insight on their expectations and how our children are being taught. In particular, I love being able to access Texas Mathematics ebook to keep up with exactly what Robert Daniel is working on. It is impressive how much technology WOISD has to offer and how well it is incorporated into every aspect of our children’s day. When I was in school the extent of my computer education was one semester in junior high of DOS on an Apple (no user friendly operating system with icons, just prompts and commands), a 45 minute class once a week for a 6 week period in high school and 1 semester of computer literacy in college. I’m glad we started new to WOISD with you last year. With each change you have implemented has been an improvement. Kudos!
