Happy fall

Parents,
I want to take a moment to thank you for the blessing of your children. We have had an amazing start to the 17-18 school year. Students will begin bringing jackets to school soon. PLEASE make sure all jackets and coats are labeled. We have hundreds of lost jackets and coats each year.
Please also be aware of the requirement for students leaving school in an approved safety restraint “car/booster” seat. Notes were sent last week and reminders handed out this week. Beginning next week, school employees will not be allowed to place a student in a car, without a car seat, at car pick-up. Parents will be asked to pull out of line, and must load the child themselves. We appreciate your help in this matter. Keep checking this blog and our classroom blogs for important dates and information.

Small School with a Big Heart

White Oak Primary will host a service learning project to benefit our colleagues and friends at Beaumont ISD. Next week, we will be collecting school supplies and books to deliver to BISD. The needs in Beaumont are vast. Our hope is to show the good people of Beaumont what a small school with a big heart can do for others. We will also collect supplies and items at the WO vs SH game on Sept. 15th.
Thank you for considering this opportunity.

We Believe We Can Be The Difference!

“We Believe We Can Be The Difference”is our White Oak Primary mantra. We can be a positive difference for our students and for each other. Our students have been busy learning school routines and getting back in the “swing of things.”
We will be hosting a parent orientation at 5:30 on September 19th. This will be an excellent time for you to learn about your child’s teacher, classroom expectations, and classroom routine. You will also be informed of important school topics like lunch, nurse visits, attendance, and interventions.

Thank you for sharing your precious children with us.
